Award Winning Poet and Children’s Book Author, Darren Sardelli, is visiting our school! His poems and rhymes are empowering, uplifting, and very funny!

In Galaxy Pizza and Meteor Pie, you’ll find popular poems such as My Doggy Ate My Essay, Recess! Oh, Recess, The Silliest Teacher in School, and Parent-Teacher Conference. This book is packed with alliteration, personification, and not so obvious life lessons that make learning fun. It’s a great way to get students excited about poetry.

“Galaxy Pizza and Meteor Pie is an absolute must-read for all funny poetry lovers and will be a welcome addition to any library poetry collection.”
— Kenn Nesbitt, 2013-15 Children’s Poet Laureate

The Wild, Wild Walk is a beautifully illustrated book where cupcakes do cartwheels, hippos sing to pizza, and magical snowflakes fall from the sky. It's a place filled with extraordinary obstacles and impossible situations. The wackiness keeps building in this wild, adventurous journey to Grandma's house.

WHAT IF? is a rhyming picture book where pencils open portals, pictures paint people, and basketballs are square. Preview: What if gum grew on the sidewalk? What if grains of sand could talk? What if wheels were sharp and pointy and your hands were colored chalk? What if tortoises could teleport and dragons warmed your tea? What a crazy, wacky, mixed-up place this world would surely be!
